We have Clark Sanders and Julie Gayler that will be showing us the latest trends on posing and lighting using some of the latest equipment out there.  There will be models and "hands-on" instruction from both of these amazingly talented photographers.  Bring your camera and be ready to capture some great images!

We will also have Jason Lloyd showing us how to take those images and build composites to sell to your clients.  Jason will show us the "Power of Pixels" and what it takes to create composites that bring you clients and sales.

The Power of Pixels: Exploring Photoshop Compositing Techniques

Photoshop compositing is a huge part of our studio workflow. Whether it be applying subtle techniques to enhance everyday client work or complex methods for print competition, photoshop compositing has been vital to our success. Together we dive into the world of photoshop compositing using various principles I have learned and exploring the “do’s and do not’s” of the skill. Together we will learn of various “hacks” to help turn ordinary images into impactful works of art.

"Hands-On lighting and shooting"

We will split into two groups and spend time with both Clark and Julie learning hands-on with lighting, posing, and models.  You will get a chance to learn and build your portfolio and check out the latest lighting equipment and modifiers.

Clark Sanders

A simple approach to using one light

Clark will show you how to use off camera lighting, from start to finish.  What/why/how to use a certain ISO, f/stop, and shutter speed.  We will also look at High Speed Sync and the benefits of using neutral density filters and how those work.

Julie Gayler

Don't miss this unique opportunity to elevate your skills with this hands on photo walk. Julie will show how to choose the best scene and lighting strategy to create beautiful portraits with off camera flash.

BONUS:   Our very own APPA member Tim Payne with Flashgear.net will be onsite with gear to check out up close and personal.  If you are interested in anything, this is the time to come check it out.  If you have any special purchase or questions in mind reach out to Tim and let him know what he can do for you.
